On-Demand Local Transit

On-demand local transit provides service to Spruce Grove (including the industrial area), Stony Plain, Parkland Village, and Acheson. The City of Spruce Grove, Town of Stony Plain, and Parkland County operate one combined on-demand transit service, however; each municipality makes their own decision about the hours of operation within their municipality.

Advertising space is offered on the on-demand local transit buses.

Hours of operation

Service within Spruce Grove and Stony Plain

  • Monday to Friday: 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Service to Parkland Village and Acheson

  • Monday to Friday: 5-9 a.m. and 2:15-6:15 p.m.

Pick-up/drop-off locations

There are over 500 pick-up/drop-off locations around the Tri-Municipal Region. See the map for locations.

There are two types of on-demand pick-up/drop-off locations - marked and unmarked. Marked stops have a bus stop sign. The remaining locations are unmarked (they are “virtual” - they don't have a bus stop sign).

New booking system: Book My Bus

On December 1, 2025, the app used to book on-demand trips is changing from the Pick-Up App to Book My Bus

It’s easy – all you need to do is download the app and all your account information, including username and password, stays the same.

For trips up to November 29, continue to you use Pick-Up. After November 30, Pick-Up will no longer be able to take bookings.

For trips starting on or after December 1, use Book My Bus. Bookings will be available on November 25.

To book your trip:

How it works

  • Create an account in the app or online
  • Enter your starting point and destination
  • Select your travel time
  • Enter the number of passengers in your group
  • The app will tell you where you will be picked up
  • Be sure arrive at your pick-up location prior to the 10 minute pick-up window
  • Track the bus in real-time and enjoy the ride!

Book trips for right away or up to one week in advance.

You will be given a 10 minute pick-up window. Arrive before the beginning of the pick-up window because the bus can’t wait.

The on-demand system calculates the most efficient route based on customer needs so trips are as fast as possible.
