Public hearings

Public hearings are an opportunity for people who are affected by projects or proposals to address Spruce Grove City Council. Public hearings are required by the Municipal Government Act as part of the adoption or amendment process for statutory plans and the land use bylaw.

Notice of development permit decisions

The following development permits have been approved or conditionally approved under the provisions of the City of Spruce Grove Land Use Bylaw. For more information about these permits, call the Planning and Development Department at 780-962-7582, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Submit an appeal

If you object to any of the proposed developments, you have the right to appeal the Development Officer's decision to the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board prior to 4:30 p.m. of the appeal expiry date.

Subdivision and Development Appeal Board hearings

The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) is a quasi-judicial board that hears appeals regarding decisions made by the City of Spruce Grove’s Subdivision Authority and Development Authority, and renders decisions based on the evidence presented. SDAB hearings are an opportunity for people affected by Subdivision Authority and Development Authority decisions to address the SDAB.

There are currently no Subdivision and Development Appeal Board hearings scheduled at this time.

Borrowing bylaws

The Municipal Government Act imposes requirements upon a municipality seeking to borrow funds. A borrowing must be authorized by a bylaw, which in most cases must be advertised.
