New pieces added to Municipal Art Collection

Seven new works of locally crafted art and photography have been added to the City of Spruce Grove’s Municipal Art Collection. Members of Spruce Grove City Council recently made the selections during the 2026 Open Art Competition hosted by the Allied Arts Council of Spruce Grove. Pieces selected for 2026 include:

• “Gossamer” by Olia Nychyporenko – Acrylic and Ink
• “Masters of the Ring” by Gail Seemann – Oil on Panel
• “A Flicker of Hope” by Denise Hoag – Oil on Canvas
• “Misty Morning in Jubilee Park” by Debbie Anderson – Photography on Metal
• “Walking into a New Day at Jubilee Park” by Debbie Anderson – Photography on Metal
• “Change of Seasons” by Maria Besant – Acrylic
• “Dressed to Kill” by Deborah Smith - Acrylic

The City’s Municipal Art Collection now includes a total of 277 pieces of original artwork including paintings, sculptures, pottery, line drawings, and photographs. This year’s selections and the complete collection can be viewed on the Municipal Art Collection web page.
