The City of Spruce Grove hosted its annual Board and Committee Recognition Event on Thursday, February 12, to celebrate the dedication and service of outgoing members. Mayor Jeff Acker and City Council joined community members in recognizing the contributions these individuals have made toward advancing the city’s goals and initiatives.

“We are sincerely grateful for your dedication, insight, and invaluable contributions to our community,” said Mayor Jeff Acker. “You generously volunteer your time and expertise providing diverse ideas and perspectives that are instrumental in guiding the decisions that build a brighter future for our city.”

The event highlighted the achievements of members from various boards and committees, including:

Anna Luecke – City Centre Business Association
Charlene Bell –
Economic Development Advisory Committee
Bruce Mullett – Economic Development Advisory Committee
Kelly John Rose – Economic Development Advisory Committee Chamber Representative
Adam McArthur – Spruce Grove Library Board
Jeff Tokar – Spruce Grove Library Board

Municipal boards and committees play a vital role in shaping Spruce Grove’s future by providing informed advice, fostering community engagement, and addressing prominent issues such as recreation, infrastructure, and youth engagement. The City encourages residents to get involved by applying for open positions on boards and committees when the annual recruitment process begins later this year.

Outgoing board and committee members were presented with gifts at the Recognition event on Feb. 12, 2026. From L to R: Councillor Erin Stevenson, Bruce Mullett, Kelly John Rose, Charlene Bell, Jeff Tokar, Councillor Danielle Carter, and Mayor Jeff Acker.
