Canadian pop star Tyler Shaw to headline Spruce Grove’s Canada Day celebration
He’s toured with Selena Gomez and performed for prime ministers, presidents, and Prince Harry. Now, Canadian pop artist Tyler Shaw is coming to Jubilee Park to celebrate Canada Day in Spruce Grove!
The Vancouver-born Shaw has been nominated for numerous Juno awards, released ten top-ten charting singles and collaborated with such household names as Justin Bieber, Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara and Shawn Mendes. His 2022 single “Love you still” has been streamed over 170 million times and was certified platinum in Canada.
Opening for Shaw on the main stage at Jubilee Park is Edmonton-based ensemble The Get Downs. The 10-piece soul, rhythm, and blues band performs energetic cover songs by artists such as Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, Bruno Mars and Aretha Franklin. And back by popular demand, Calgary Dueling Pianos brings their high-energy performance back to Jubilee Park with a show driven by requests from the audience.
The Canada Day opening ceremonies begin at 12 p.m. followed by a full afternoon of talented local dancers, musicians, and entertainers. The evening entertainment begins at 7 p.m. with Dueling Pianos and The Get Downs, followed by headliner Tyler Shaw at 9:45 p.m. The celebration concludes with a fireworks display (weather dependent) at 11 p.m. high above Jubilee Park.
