Help us shape the new Parks & Open Spaces Master Plan
The City of Spruce Grove is developing a new Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan to guide how parks, trails and open spaces are planned, developed, managed and improved over the next 15 years.
Spruce Grove has experienced significant growth since the City's previous Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan was completed in 2007. The new Master Plan will help the City understand current and future needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and establish priorities to guide future planning and investment.
The Plan will consider the broader parks and open space system, including parks, natural areas, trails and pathways, open spaces, stormwater management facilities, school sites, and future park lands within annexed areas.
Feedback and input from residents is an important part of developing this plan, and you're encouraged to have your say.
Park Passport Challenge:
Explore parks and outdoor spaces across Spruce Grove and share your feedback along the way! Visit any of the participating locations, find the poster, scan the QR code, and answer a quick question about that specific park, amenity, or outdoor space.
Each location you complete gives you one entry into the prize draw so the more locations you visit, the more chances you have to win!

A dedicated Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan engagement website has been created as a hub for project information and participation. Visit the site to:
- Learn more about the Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan
- Participate in surveys and online engagement activities
- Find upcoming community events and opportunities to get involved
- Share your ideas and priorities for parks, trails and open spaces
- Follow project updates and key milestones
- Review project materials and engagement results as they become available
Community Survey
Your feedback will help the City understand how residents use parks and open spaces today, what is working well, where improvements may be needed, and what should be prioritized in the future.
The survey should take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.
About the project team
The City of Spruce Grove has retained RC Strategies to support the development of the Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan.
RC Strategies is a Canadian consulting firm specializing in recreation, parks, culture and community services planning. The RC Strategies team will work with City Administration, Council, residents, community organizations and other parties to complete research, gather community input and develop the Master Plan.
