Microgrants
The Microgrant is one of two funding streams in the Civic Grant Program. It provides funding to help individuals, community groups, and organizations with projects that contribute to a strong and connected community. Up to $1500 in funding is available per project. Applications are accepted year-round with decisions and funding provided within eight weeks. Projects should benefit the community and may include activities like improving accessibility, fostering community connections, and supporting equity and inclusion.

Projects must align with at least one of the following themes:
- Social
- Sport and Recreation
- Arts, Culture and Heritage
- Economic
- Environmental
- Multicultural
How to apply
To apply, download and complete the Microgrant Application and Microgrant Guide, and submit it via email. Remember, individuals and organizations may submit more than one project for funding consideration, but each project requires a separate application.
The personal information you provide as part of the Microgrant application process is collected under section 4(c) of the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) for the purpose of managing the Civic Grant Program. General information about approved grant funding, including the name of the successful applicant, the name of the funded project, and the total amount funded, may be proactively disclosed to the public through various channels, such as the City of Spruce Grove website, social media, print materials, or other public communications.
