Rainfall response update - June 27

June 27, 2026

Rainfall update – June 27, 9:30 a.m.

The rain has returned to Spruce Grove and City crews are monitoring the situation and levels of stormwater management facilities (SWMF). A morning inspection has been completed, and conditions remain satisfactory:

  • Water levels in SWMFs throughout the city are stable and have not increased significantly.
  • The SWMF on Century Road, which previously overflowed last weekend, remains empty.
  • At this time, all systems are functioning as intended without any issues.

With the ongoing rainfall, this monitoring work will continue, and an update will be provided later today.

If you have drainage concerns, please call the City’s water or sewer emergency reporting line at 780-441-6266.

Over the weekend, residents are reminded to help reduce unnecessary strain on the regional wastewater system by delaying non-essential water use where possible:

  • Delay laundry
  • Delay car washing
  • Keep showers shorter
  • Only flush the 3 Ps (pee, poo, and toilet paper)
  • Never pour grease down drains
