Moving along King Street should now be a little easier and more convenient thanks to new upgrades that will improve accessibility and enhance the walking experience for anyone who walks, rolls, or bikes throughout the area.

The improvements include crosswalk upgrades, new pedestrian-activated flashing crosswalk lights (RRFBs), audible signals, upgraded ramps, refreshed concrete, and freshly painted crosswalks.

Recent work took place at several key locations along King Street, including:

• King Street and Hazelwood Lane
• King Street and Agrena Road
• King Street between Woodhaven Middle School and Brookwood School
• King Street and Church Road
• King Street and Heritage Grove Trail (in progress)

These upgrades are part of the City’s ongoing commitment to making Spruce Grove a safe, accessible, and walkable community for everyone.
