New scattering garden opens at Pioneer Cemetery

Families now have another meaningful way to honour and remember loved ones in a peaceful, natural setting at Pioneer Cemetery with the addition of a community scattering garden.

Centrally located within the cemetery, the scattering garden provides a dedicated space for families and friends to scatter the ashes of loved ones. The area features natural landscaping, a wooden viewing platform and a memorial plaque wall where families can honour and remember those who have passed.

The scattering garden is free to use, with optional memorial plaques available for those who wish to commemorate their loved ones in this way. Plaques are available for a fee, as outlined in the City's Fees and Charges Bylaw.
