Six new works of locally crafted art and photography have been added to the City of Spruce Grove’s Municipal Art Collection. Members of Spruce Grove City Council recently made the selections during the 2025 Open Art Competition hosted by the Allied Arts Council of Spruce Grove. Pieces selected for 2025 include:

• “Head in Clouds (Jack & Beanstalk)” by Allison Dakin – Watercolour
• “Morning Walk” by Cindy Kilpatrick – Oil Pastel
• “A Great Spangled Fritillary” by Francoise Noel – Photography
• “Royalty” by Irene Nebel – Coloured Pencil
• “Pigeon” by Jim Little – Coloured Pencil
• “Alberta Aurora” by Nadine Letwin – Photography

The City’s Municipal Art Collection now includes more than 260 pieces of original artwork including paintings, sculptures, pottery, line drawings, and photographs. This year’s selections and the complete collection can be viewed on the Municipal Art Collection web page.
