Residents are invited to view highlights from the City of Spruce Grove’s Proposed 2026-2028 Budget and Fiscal Plan (formerly the Corporate Plan) in advance of upcoming Governance and Priorities Committee meetings dedicated to these topics.
This highlights document is a summary of the municipal budget and how funds are allocated to various programs, service areas and projects, as well as a breakdown of utility rates and property taxes City Administration is recommending to Council.
The Proposed 2026-2028 Budget and Fiscal Plan includes the proposed operating and capital budgets and will be presented to Council during a series of Governance Priorities Committee meetings on November 17, November 18, November 19, and November 20. Please note that the GPC meeting on November 20 will only take place if additional time is needed to review the proposed agenda.
During these meetings, Council will review the Proposed Budget and Fiscal Plan, discuss Administration’s recommendations, and provide direction that will inform the revised 2026-2028 Budget and Fiscal Plan, which will be presented for approval at the December 8 Council meeting.
Additionally, residents can participate in the public question and answer period on November 17 to ask a question on the Proposed Budget and Fiscal Plan in the following ways:
- In person: To ask a question in person, register by emailing cityclerk@sprucegrove.org or calling 780-962-7615 before noon on November 17. When registering, residents are asked to provide the question they intend to ask.
- Submit a question in advance: Residents can submit a question to be asked on their behalf by emailing cityclerk@sprucegrove.org until the public question and answer period on November 17 is complete.
In-person attendees will have two minutes to ask their question. One question per person is permitted, and if a question has already been asked, another individual cannot ask the same question. Questions may be answered during the meeting or may be referred to Administration for further research. In all cases, you will receive a reply.
