City receives GFOA Triple Crown Award for financial reporting

The City of Spruce Grove is proud to announce it is the recipient of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Triple Crown Award for the City’s Annual Report, Popular Annual Financial Report, and Distinguished Budget Presentation for the 2024 fiscal year.

The Triple Crown is awarded to local governments that earn all three of GFOA’s top recognitions — the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award, and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.

Earning the Triple Crown Award is an accomplishment that highlights the City’s dedication to transparency, excellence, and clarity in financial reporting. It highlights the City’s commitment to not only preparing high-quality financial documents, but also ensuring the information is accessible and understandable for the public.

The City of Spruce Grove is one of only four Alberta municipalities who achieved the Triple Crown Award for the 2024 fiscal year.
