Civic Wayfinding Initiative

In 2026, the City of Spruce Grove is developing a new wayfinding program to make it easier for people to explore our parks, trails, and City Centre area. As more residents and visitors spend time in these spaces, there is a clear need for improved navigational and informational signage that enhances accessibility and overall user experience. This project will create a consistent, easy-to-follow system that helps people feel comfortable and confident as they move throughout the community.

The new signs will blend practical direction with stories and information that bring our green spaces and City Centre to life. From highlighting environmental features and Indigenous history to using QR codes for quick access to additional details, the program is designed to help people learn, connect, and enjoy their surroundings in a richer way.

An important part of developing the new wayfinding signs is engaging with the community and understanding what's important to residents and visitors when navigating through the community. Please answer a few questions to help guide the development of this project. The survey will be open until Friday, Jan. 16.
