Spruce Grove Transit commuter connector shuttle service temporarily suspended

March 30, 2020

Effective Thursday, April 2, the City of Spruce Grove will temporarily suspend Spruce Grove Transit’s commuter connector shuttle service (Route 566 and Route 567).

This shuttle service connects transit riders from Harvest Ridge and Spruce Village/Greenbury to the commuter transit service during peak morning and afternoon hours.

This temporary suspension is due to the current situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19), as ridership has declined to the point that it is not cost efficient to operate.

As the situation with COVID-19 is rapidly changing, we want to assure residents that the Spruce Grove Emergency Management Agency is closely monitoring the City’s transit operations.

The health and safety of our staff and our community is our top priority, and we are committed to taking the necessary steps to prevent the spread of the virus while also ensuring that we continue providing essential services to our residents.

We recognize this is a challenging time for many of our residents and we would like to thank you for doing your part to prevent the spread of the virus, and to keep our community well.
