Programs, customer service, and hours of operations coming to skate park

This summer some enhancements are coming to the Spruce Grove Skate Park to help provide a welcoming and enjoyable experience for both users and the community.

Starting June 8, there will be on-site staff at the skate park who will provide customer service, organize programs and events, make sure rules are being followed, and provide first aid if needed. Staffed hours will be Tuesday to Saturday, 3 to 10 p.m., between June 8 and 29, and seven days a week, noon to 10 p.m., starting June 30 until end of August/early September.

Also effective June 30, the skate park will have set operating hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Secure fencing will remain around the skate park for the summer. The fence will assist with supporting physical distancing requirements, help manage those entering/exiting the skate park, and help ensure the safety of those using the skate park (only those using the facility should be inside the park; spectators should remain outside).

Additionally, there will be security patrols at night during June as these changes come into effect.

These decisions were made in consultation with the Spruce Grove Skate Park Society.
