Horizon Stage is back with two shows in December

November 5, 2021

Horizon Stage is now open for rentals and community use, with two special presentations in December, as part of a phased re-opening that was collaboratively developed with community stakeholders and partners.

Tickets are now available for DuffleBag Theatre: A Christmas Carol (Dec. 4) and Best Little Newfoundland Christmas Pageant… Ever (Dec. 10). Both of these shows were presented by Horizon Stage in 2018 and were very popular, so make sure to get your tickets soon!

A phased approach to re-opening Horizon Stage was developed in response to changing provincial public health measures.

The next phase is expected to see community use and rentals continuing in early 2022 with the addition of City programming and shows. Specific details on this programming will be announced at a later date.

The final phase for the 2022/2023 season will see additional planned programming, which is anticipated to be announced near the end of June 2022.

“It’s wonderful to see that Horizon Stage will be reopening to rentals and community use, as well as a return to some scheduled programming next month,” said Mayor Jeff Acker. “Arts and culture play an important role in our community and we are thrilled to see live performing arts opportunities and events returning to Horizon Stage.”

Please note that Horizon Stage is participating in the Restriction Exemption Program.
