As the health and safety of our community and staff continues to be our top priority, the City’s Emergency Management Agency has decided to implement certain protocols around public access to indoor City facilities.
At this time, members of the public will be required to wear a face covering or mask in publicly accessible spaces in all City indoor facilities.
This will be in effect regardless of whether the City’s Temporary Mandatory Face Coverings Bylaw is active or inactive.

In facilities where there are physical barriers between City staff/public (i.e. a plastic shield), staff are not required to wear a face covering. An exception to this is at the Protective Services building where staff have and will continue to follow the procedures in place as an accredited Health Care Facility.
Exceptions align with those in the City’s Temporary Mandatory Face Coverings Bylaw.
Members of the public will need to bring and wear their own face coverings; they will not be provided at City facilities.
