City working towards phased re-opening of Horizon Stage

July 13, 2021

As provincial public health measures related to COVID-19 have eased, the City of Spruce Grove has been working with community stakeholders and partners to develop a phased approach for the re-opening of Horizon Stage.

The first phase is tentatively planned for mid to late November 2021 and would see Horizon Stage being available for rentals and to community groups.

The second phase is expected to see community use and rentals continuing in early 2022 with the addition of some City programming and shows. Specific details on this programming will be announced at a later date once confirmed.

The third and final phase for the 2022/2023 season will see additional planned programming, which is anticipated to be announced near the end of June 2022.

“We are looking forward to making Horizon Stage available for community use as soon as possible,” said David Wolanski, General Manager of Community and Protective Services. “We are also excited to bring forward some new cultural programming and partnerships at venues across the city, including Horizon Stage.

“We’d like to thank the community for their continued patience and understanding as we work towards the re-opening of Horizon Stage.”

Additional information on each of these phases will be shared as timelines and details are confirmed.
