Bylaw C-1049-18 - Land Use Bylaw Amendment - Springate Stage 17 – Public Hearing and Second Reading

A public hearing was held for Bylaw C-1049-18, which will redistrict a 2.3 ha portion of NE 5-53-27-4 from UR – Urban Reserve District to R1 – Mixed Low to Medium Density Residential District. Stage 17 is the final stage in the Springate neighbourhood. Council also gave second reading to the bylaw.

Bylaw C-1039-18 - Land Use Bylaw Amendment – Greenbury Stage 10 – Public Hearing and Second Reading

A public hearing was held for Bylaw C-1039-18, which will redistrict 2.3 hectares of land within the Pioneer Lands Area Structure Plan from UR – Urban Reserve District to R1 – Mixed Low to Medium Density Residential District and P1 – Parks and Recreation District. Council also gave second reading to the bylaw.

2018 Municipal Census Demographic Report

City Administration presented a report on the 2018 municipal census, which was conducted between April 4 and May 31, 2018. In total, 14,417 addresses were enumerated. The population of the City of Spruce Grove is 35,766.

2018 Resident Satisfaction Survey Findings

Tracy With, Vice President and COO with Banister Research, presented Council with a report on the 2018 resident satisfaction survey, which was conducted between April 27 and May 14, 2018.

2018 Tax Recovery Public Auction Reserve Bids and Terms and Conditions

Council passed a motion to approve the reserve bids and terms and conditions for the 2018 tax recovery public auction that is scheduled to take place on Nov. 7, 2018.

Tri-Municipal Organics Processing Waste to Energy Feasibility Study

City Administration presented the Tri-Municipal Organics Processing Waste to Energy Feasibility Study to Council, who received the information and passed a motion to conclude the project as it is not economically feasible at this time.

Board and Committee Appointment – Metro Edmonton Regional Transit Services and Committee Transition Team

Coun. McKenzie and Coun. Rothe were appointed to the Metro Edmonton Regional Transit Services Committee Transit Team.
