Spruce Grove FCSS offers preventative programs for youth to support social connection, resiliency, and mental well-being. Because of the current situation with COVID-19 and based on guidelines from the Province of Alberta, please watch for announcements for future FCSS programs.
In-Person Programs for Youth
Wise Mind Wednesday
Wise Mind Wednesday is back! Created in partnership between Stony Plain Community & Social Development, Parkland County, and Spruce Grove FCSS, Wise Mind Wednesday provides a consistent time and place for youth to access safe adults and tackle tough topics. Sessions will again focus on emotional health, communication skills, work readiness, financial literacy, and career planning and will begin on February 2, 2022. More information will be posted on specific weekly topics in January 2022.
The program is in-person through a hybrid delivery model. Synchronous programming is offered at two in-person sites, the Stony Plain Youth Center and the Spruce Grove Public Library. Registration opens on January 10, 2022. Please register for the specific site that you plan to attend.

Kids Help Phone
Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7, national support service. They offer professional counseling, information and referrals, and volunteer-led, text-based support to young people in both English and French.
