FCSS Youth Mentorship

Youth are invited to drop in at the Lions Log Cabin, located at 454 King St. in Spruce Grove, for one of our weekly programs or just come hang out with friends! We have air hockey, pool, ping pong, crafts, board games, musical instruments and video games! All activities are free.

Tuesday-Friday: 2 - 8 pm.
Saturday: 1 - 8 p.m.
Sunday & Monday: Closed

Weekly Programs


Tye Dye Tuesday
Stop by the Log Cabin to create some old school tye dye masterpieces. Add some style, swirls and colour to brighten up your wardrobe.


Breakfast Club
Is breakfast your favourite meal of the day? Youth will engage in a variety of discussion topics and are welcome to help prepare food for an evening breakfast. Please see mentorship staff for a waiver to participate. 


Movie Night
Stop by the Log Cabin and enjoy a movie on our comfy couches. Relax and watch new releases or old flicks with friends. Free popcorn and juice for youth viewing the show.


Jam Night
Bring your own instruments and jam or use a variety of instruments we have in the cabin to create your own tunes and rhythms! Whether you’re a solo artist or group, beginner or advanced, you’ll enjoy creating your own music. Come share and develop your musical talents.


Skateboard Education and Craft Corner
Looking to start skateboarding but don’t know where to start? Learn the basics from our mentorship staff and learn about all the different types of styles and approaches to skateboarding. Or, you can chill in the Log Cabin and let your creativity run wild using our many drawing, painting and crafts supplies.

Think you can rally with the best? Then enter into a ping pong tournament that you’ll never forget. Battle to the finals for your chance to walk away with some wicked prizes and bragging rights for the summer.

If you dare, stop by the Log Cabin and participate in the second annual Fear Factory. Our challenges will keep you on your toes and gross you out. Finish with the most points after three separate challenges and take home a glorious prize and be named this year’s Fearless Champion.

Join us under the stars and enjoy an outdoor movie night in Central Park. All you need to bring is your own lawn chair or blanket for the ground. Popcorn, extra snacks and beverages will be available for a small fee. Please note: this event may be cancelled in the case of inclement weather.

Friday, Aug. 17
9:30 p.m.
Central Park

Compete as a skateboarder or biker in beginner and advanced categories. There will be free burgers and hot dogs with registration, along with prizes for best trick. After the competition, you have the option to participate in the Wake-a-thon adventure, where you skateboard or bike overnight at the Spruce Grove Skate Park. More information will be made available closer to the event.

Have you ever wanted to challenge a local RCMP constable to a game of ping pong? Now is your chance. Stop by the Log Cabin to enjoy a cool treat and hang out with some of our local enforcement officers and RCMP.
