Tri-Region Housing and Service Needs Estimate
The Tri-Region, along with 26 other rural Alberta communities, took part in the second Housing and Service Needs Estimate. Data gathered through the estimate is valuable to inform regional projects and raise awareness about poverty in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County. The information collected is meant to be a snapshot of a specific window of time that aims to capture information on who is experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
This project is jointly led by the City of Spruce Grove, the Town of Stony Plain, Family and Community Support Services with project support through the Alberta Rural Development Network. The survey was administered by several local service providers – food banks, library, churches, etc. — and was available online or through paper surveys.
The surveys for the estimate were completed between October 1 - October 30, 2020.
Special thanks to all the community partners for their assistance and support with this project. Through helping to conduct surveys, our partners contributed to raising awareness on housing and service needs in the Tri-Region.
