Tri-Region Housing and Service Needs Estimate
The Tri-Region, along with 26 other rural Alberta communities, will take part in the second Housing and Service Needs Estimate. Data gathered through the estimate will be valuable to inform regional projects and raise awareness about poverty in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and Parkland County. The information collected is meant to be a snapshot of a specific window of time that aims to capture information on who is experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
This project is jointly led by the City of Spruce Grove and Town of Stony Plain Family and Community Support Services with project support through the Alberta Rural Development Network. The survey will be administered by several local service providers – food banks, library, churches, etc. — and will be available digitally/online or through paper surveys.
Surveys for the estimate will be completed between October 1 - October 30, 2020.
Special thanks to all the community partners for their assistance and support with this project. Through helping to conduct surveys, our partners will have contributed to raising awareness on housing and service needs in the tri-region.
Survey results will be available to the public in January 2020.
