Public Hearing - Proposed C-1173-21 - Land Use Bylaw Amendment - Election Signs

It is City Council’s intention to hold a public hearing as part of their consideration of C-1173-21 - Land Use Bylaw Amendment – Election Signs. This bylaw will change the time candidates may begin to display their signs from "noon on a nomination day/election writ day" to "12:01 a.m. on a nomination day/election writ day".

REPRESENTATION

If you or someone you represent is affected by the proposed bylaw, you may address City Council at the Public Hearing.

Members of the public are encouraged to participate virtually, and may do so by emailing cityclerk@sprucegrove.org or by calling 587-336-0387. Members of the public may attend in person, but only for the purposes of participating in the public hearing.

In-person participants will be required to:

  • Complete a COVID-19 Assessment
  • Wear a mask at all times
  • Not enter the premises if they are feeling unwell
  • Leave immediately following the public hearing

Written submissions will be received by the City Clerk by mail at City Hall, 315 Jespersen Avenue, Spruce Grove, AB, T7X 3E8, or by email to cityclerk@sprucegrove.org, until noon on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. These must be signed, dated, and contain your civic address. Written submissions received by this date/time will be included as part of the council meeting agenda package and will be reviewed before oral representations are heard.

Copies of the proposed bylaw amendment(s) are available upon request.
