Commuter Transit
ETS Route 560 - detour information
Starting Wednesday, June 15, ETS Route 560 will be temporarily detouring around McLeod Avenue between Jennifer Heil Way and Calahoo Road, due to the City's roundabout construction project at the intersection of McLeod Avenue and Nelson Drive.
The City of Spruce Grove is pleased to offer a commuter transit service to Edmonton through a contract with Edmonton Transit System (ETS) and the City of Edmonton. This service is an affordable and environmentally-friendly alternative to the costs of driving into the city and parking downtown or on campus.
ETS Route 560
is an express service that operates every 15-20 minutes during morning and afternoon peak hours, starting at 5:34 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. with a mid-day route leaving Edmonton at 1:35 p.m. The route includes stops at NAIT and Grant MacEwan University, and through to the downtown core.
Service to Acheson
The City of Spruce Grove and Parkland County are excited to announce a new partnership in transit. Effective Monday April 25, 2016 bus service from the ETS Mitchell Garage to Spruce Grove will be changing, with the addition of service to the Acheson Industrial Area via Route 560. Three of the Route 560 am trips from Edmonton to Spruce Grove will take passengers from Edmonton (NAIT and Westmount Transit Centres) to Acheson. In the afternoon three of the Route 560 pm trips from Spruce Grove to Edmonton will divert into Acheson to bring passengers back to Edmonton at Westmount and NAIT transit centres.
Regular 560 service (Spruce Grove to Edmonton in the morning and Edmonton to Spruce Grove in the afternoon) and commute times will NOT be impacted by these changes.
For more information on the Acheson Service please visit the Parkland County Transit webpage
.
Statutory Holidays
The Spruce Grove transit service (Route 560) will not be operating on the following days:
- Friday, July 1, 2016
- Monday, August 1, 2016
Morning service to Spruce Grove / afternoon service to Edmonton

Buses arrive 20 minutes after leaving Spruce Grove at the ETS west end garage located at 11904 - 154 Street. ETS bus routes serving this area are 3, 122, and 126. These routes provide connections to the Northgate and Westmount terminals, West Edmonton Mall, and downtown.
Transit Service Review
The City of Spruce Grove continues to review transit service options both related to traffic situations in Edmonton and looking to the future as Spruce Grove continues to grow. Watch for updates on routes and long term transit planning at the transit service review webpage.
