Specialized Transit Service (STS)


STS is a non-profit, door-to-door public transportation service for all seniors (55+) and persons with mobility challenges. STS is available for use by residents of the City of Spruce Grove, Parkland Village and defined limits of Parkland County.

STS operates three wheelchair accessible vehicles. Two small vans accommodate individuals and / or small groups, while the 20-passenger van serves larger groups including a maximum of four wheelchairs.

Special event trips are also planned.

Registration

All persons eligible for STS must register before they can book trips. To register with STS, an application form must be completed. The application form is divided into Part A and Part B. Seniors need only complete Part A. Disabled applicants are required to complete Part A and have Part B completed by a medical practitioner. If the applicant is eligible for STS, a registration number will be assigned.

All eligible riders are required to inform STS of any address or equipment change.

When considering new equipment (wheelchairs, scooters), please make sure that new models can be secured safely on STS vehicles.
