Why should I license my dog?

There are several reasons why it’s important to license your dog:

  1. A dog licence is your pet’s form of identification. It’s a simple and easy way to ensure your pet’s information is on file and linked to your household.
  2. A dog licence helps keep your pet safe. If your dog gets lost, the chances of being reunited with your pet are far greater if your dog has been licensed.
  3. It’s a requirement under the City’s bylaws. If you want to own a dog in Spruce Grove, you must licence your pet.
