Free-cycle Event

Spruce Grove Free-cycle logo. The City of Spruce Grove implemented a free-cycle program that first took place in June 2011. The next free-cycle event is scheduled for June 2 - 3, 2012.

During the program, residents are encouraged to leave unwanted items on their front property adjacent to the curb or sidewalk and individuals who see value in those items can take them for free. Free-cycle is similar to a garage sale, but without the formality or purchase price.

What is free-cycle?

Free-cycle is a way to divert reusable goods from landfills by giving unwanted items to others instead of throwing them out. It also helps strengthen community ties and promotes environmental sustainability and reuse.

What items can I free-cycle?

The only stipulation on free-cycle items is that they must be free and legal.

What are the program details?

Items for free-cycle can be placed on the front of your property during the event. Items cannot be placed in the rear alley, on sidewalks or on the roadway. It is your responsibility to remove remaining free-cycle items from your property by the end of the last day of the event.
