Household Hazardous Waste

Many common household products contain hazardous chemicals which can be dangerous if not properly disposed. Small quantities accumulate over time and contaminate the air, water, and soil. Products that are flammable, corrosive, explosive or toxic should not be disposed of in landfills or sewage systems.

Household hazardous waste is accepted at the Eco Centre free of charge. If possible, bring materials in their original containers; otherwise ensure the container is clearly labelled. Never combine materials.

Commercial and industrial waste must be disposed of through regional facilities.

Unidentified materials will not be accepted.

  • Windshield washer solution containing methyl alcohol
