Council Remuneration Task Force

A Council Remuneration Task Force is established during each term of a Council to review the salaries and benefits available to a member of Council as well as recommending which expenses will be assumed by the municipality when they carry out their official duties.

Council approved the recommendation from the 2013 Task Force on Council Remuneration that these reviews be conducted at the mid-point of the term rather than in an election year.
