Subdivision and Development Appeal Board

Total Citizen Memberships: minimum of 2
Total Council Memberships: 1 Alderman and 2 Alternate Aldermen

The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) is a quasi-judicial board established under the Municipal Government Act of the Province of Alberta. It is a tribunal, consisting of a minimum of three members, one of which must be an alderman, while the remaining members must be residents of Spruce Grove. The SDAB hears appeals from a decision of the Subdivision Authority or the Development Authority, and renders decisions based on the evidence presented.

Board membership appointments are for 3 year terms with up to (2) 3 year extensions. Meetings are held on an as required basis and must be held within 30 days of the receipt of an appeal.
