Waste Reduction Week
Waste Reduction Week 
(WRW) was October 15 - 21, 2012. The City posted daily tips below, and on our Facebook Page and Twitter feed .
WRW raises awareness about waste and its environmental and social impacts. Its goal is to educate, engage and encourage Canadians to reduce waste by providing access to relevant information, opportunities and options. WRW in Canada is coordinated by a coalition of 13 recycling councils and sister organizations from across the country.
As part of WRW, Spruce Grove Council discussed the future of the City's waste program at its October 15 Committee of the Whole meeting. The meeting included a presentation on the results of a recent program review and residential waste audit. If you missed the meeting, you can listen to the podcast.
