The Returning Officer is required to establish voting stations for electors in the City of Spruce Grove. Voting stations are selected based on geographic location, parking, safety and accessibility.

Advance voting opportunities will be available at the Pioneer Centre , located at 301 Jespersen Ave., on the following days and times:

The City of Spruce will offer an accessible audio voting ballot marker device at all advance voting opportunities to provide voters with disabilities a private and independent method of casting their ballot.

Vote at home
Incapacitated elector at home
The City of Spruce Grove has established a mobile poll for voters who, due to physical incapacity or limited mobility, are unable to leave their residence to attend a voting station. Incapacitated elector at home voting will be offered on October 5, 2017, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
If you wish to use this service, contact the Returning Officer no later than 4:30 p.m. on September 27, 2017. The Returning Officer will require the following information:
- name of the voter;
- physical address of the residence;
- telephone number; and
- the reason the voter cannot attend a voting station.
The Returning Officer will advise of the specific time the election officials will visit your home to take your vote. When the election official visits your home, you will be required to provide identification and complete a voting register that will be provided.
The City of Spruce Grove will provide institutional voting for residents of a number of facilities that meet the requirements of an auxiliary hospital, nursing home or seniors’ accommodation facility under the Local Authorities Election Act . Further information will be posted when the location and times are finalized.
The following voting stations are wheelchair accessible:
- Border Paving Athletic Centre
- Queen Street Place
- The Pioneer Centre (advance voting only)
Please inform election staff of any accessibility challenges while at the voting station and how they can best assist.
If an elector is unable to read or does not understand the English language, an interpreter may be permitted to read or translate the statement and voting instructions to the elector. The interpreter will be required to make a statement at the voting station.
If an elector is blind or has any other condition that would prevent the elector from marking the ballot, the elector can request a Deputy Returning Officer or a friend or relative over the age of 18 to assist in marking the ballot. The individual assisting will be required to make a statement beforehand.
