Regular Council meetings

Held on the second and fourth Monday of each month, Regular Council meetings start at 6 p.m. (except as noted). All meetings are open to the public and are held in Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of City Hall at 315 Jespersen Avenue  in Spruce Grove.

Regular Council meetings are when your mayor and council make decisions that set the direction for maintaining a safe and viable community. Those decisions come in the form of resolutions and bylaws which enable Administration to conduct the day-to-day operations of our community. Residents have the opportunity to participate in council meetings through public question and answer periods and by delegation.

Committee of the Whole meetings

Held on the third Monday of each month, Committee of the Whole meetings start at 6 p.m. (except as noted). All meetings are open to the public and are held in Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of City Hall at 315 Jespersen Avenue  in Spruce Grove.

A Committee of the Whole meeting provides the opportunity for council to hold discussions on any matter, determine process, and receive detailed information from administration, delegations or subject matter experts. Committee of the Whole meetings are council research and information sessions that are held in a less formal atmosphere than a Regular Council meeting. The agendas for these meetings do not include public question and answer periods.

All Regular Council and Committee of the Whole meeting agendas are posted on our website prior to each meeting and draft minutes and audio podcasts of the meeting are typically posted on our website the day after the meeting. Minutes do not become official until passed by council at the following Regular Council meeting. Contact the City of Spruce Grove for paper copies of the approved minutes.
