Horizon Stage Theatre Advisory Board

Made up of volunteer representation from Spruce Grove and Parkland County, the Horizon Stage Theatre Advisory Board guides the operation of the Horizon Stage Performing Arts Centre. The board’s mandate is to encourage and promote the performing arts and broaden cultural, educational, and social opportunities for the residents of Spruce Grove, Parkland County, and surrounding communities.

Spruce Grove Public Library Management Board

The mission of this 10-member volunteer board is to be a service-driven resource for the cultural, educational, and entertainment needs of our community. The board is established under the provisions of the Provincial Government Library Act.

Members are appointed to the board by resolution of city council for a three year term. The board has a management function, and works with library staff to program, operate, and maintain library service for the enjoyment of all area residents.

The library is located at the Melcor Cultural Centre, 35 Fifth Avenue, Spruce Grove.

Spruce Grove Specialized Transit Service Management Board

The Spruce Grove Specialized Transit Service (STS) is operated by a management board of up to 15 members, approved by City Council. STS is a non-profit service that provides subsidized transportation to seniors and residents with physical or mental disabilities. The STS Board seeks volunteers who have skills related to the management of a transportation service including mechanics, business people, accountants and fundraisers.
