Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission

The Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) oversees the licensing of bingos, casinos, pull tickets and raffles in Alberta.

You must be an eligible religious or charitable organization to apply for and receive a license to conduct any of these gaming activities.

This includes 50/50 tickets, selling tickets to win prizes, silent auctions, 50/50 game boards, etc. Upon successful granting of a license there is a structure you must follow that takes you through all the stages of licensing to the conclusion of a final report.  Each of these activities are clearly outlined in the AGLC website listed below, and advisors are readily available to help you via phone.  Additionally they offer information sessions called GAIN, which is also listed below.
