City remains in standby mode

At approximately 10:30 a.m. this morning, the City and its municipal partners were advised by the Provincial Operations Centre that the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre (TLC) External is not currently required as a reception centre for evacuees from Fort McMurray.

The TLC will also manage the existing donations that have already been brought to the facility. Residents are asked to not bring any new donations to the TLC. Donations can be made directly to the Canadian Red Cross External.

No volunteers are required at this point in time.
