Summer in the City returns to Spruce Grove

New registration location for Adventure Camps

The City's Summer in the City programs are returning for another year, with a range of fun-filled activities and events for youth ages five and up including week-long Adventure Camps, a Travelling Playground, Babysitter Training, Home Alone + First Aid, drop-in programs and more.

Program registration begins Monday, May 9, at 9 a.m.

Registration for all Summer in the City programs can be done online, in-person or by phone.

This year, there is a new registration location for the popular Adventure Camps - the Recreation Services office at the City's new Border Paving Athletic Centre. Registration can be done by phone at 780-962-7579 or in person at the centre, located at 9 Tri Leisure Way.

Registration for other Summer in the City programs, specifically Babysitter Training and Home Alone + First Aid, can be done by phone at 780-962-7618 or at the Spruce Grove FCSS office, located at 105-505 Queen St.

Full details on all the programs being offered are available in the Summer in the City brochure PDF, which will be distributed to local schools in early May.

The programs offer a fun, interactive, safe and supervised setting where youth can spend time on their summer vacation. Senior high school and university students are employed as leaders, and work in pairs to plan and deliver the programs.
