City offers naming rights for new Sports and Recreation Facility

Additional sponsorship opportunities also available

As construction continues on the new Sports and Recreation Facility in Spruce Grove, the City has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for those interested in purchasing naming rights to the facility.

The opportunity to purchase the naming rights provides long-term, high-visibility brand recognition with visitors from the Tri-Municipal Region and beyond. It is estimated that the facility will draw more than 250,000 visitors each year and benefit from its prime location. It is situated adjacent to the Tri Leisure Village and TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre, which collectively draw 3.5 million annual visitors, and is visible to traffic along Jennifer Heil Way.

Primary naming rights will include the chosen business’s name on:
- the exterior of the building
- pylon signage along Jennifer Heil Way
- promotional materials and in electronic promotions (e.g. City’s website, social media)

Other benefits include recognition and involvement in the official opening of the facility and related media activities as well as complimentary use for events and corporate functions. Further to that, the chosen business will be directly associated with the benefits of health, wellness, sport and recreation in a community setting.

There are also sponsorship opportunities available. These include the naming of areas and rooms within the facility or being recognized as a Builder or Friend on the Donor Recognition Wall.

The deadline to submit a proposal is May 29, 2015 at 4 p.m. Inquiries concerning the RFP can be sent via email Email or by calling 780-962-7608.
