The City of Spruce Grove is proud to announce the approved development of the Diamond Grove RV Campground.

The new private RV campground will be located south of Diamond Avenue and west of Century Road, adjacent to the new dog off-leash park that is currently being developed. Work on the campground is expected to start this year and it is set to open in mid-2012. Council approved the development at its June 27 council meeting.

“An RV campground in the city is very exciting for us because it will have a positive impact on Spruce Grove – we expect it to become a premium amenity,” says Spruce Grove Mayor, Stuart Houston. “It will provide an excellent accommodation option in Spruce Grove for RV users and other campers when visiting the region.”

The privately owned campground will be situated on 25 acres of land and will have 247 stalls that will be fully serviced with water, power and sewage, so they can be used year-round. There will also be a tenting area, bathroom and shower facilities, additional parking and a common amenity area for day use. The campground will also offer the city’s first sani-dump facility as well as RV storage.

The RV campground development supports the City’s strategic goals of promoting economic development and seeking partnerships that create opportunities to benefit the community.
