Temporary road closure on Grove Drive at 10 p.m. on Canada Day

Closure required to prep for fireworks and departure of park and ride buses

On July 1, Grove Drive east of Century Road will be temporarily closing at 10 p.m. to prepare for the Canada Day fireworks and assist in the safe and efficient departure of park and ride buses from Jubilee Park. During this time, access to and from neighbourhoods east of Century Road including Spruce Village, Grove Meadows, Greenbury, Silverleaf and Tonewood will be restricted.

Traffic delays in the area of Century Road and Grove Drive should be expected from 10 p.m. to midnight.

Celebration goers are also reminded that there will be no public parking at Jubilee Park from June 28-July 2, and that parking in nearby residential areas on July 1 is discouraged. Residents who want to watch the fireworks are encouraged to bike, walk or take the park and ride service to Jubilee Park, as vehicle movement in the northeast portion of the city will be dramatically reduced during this time.
