The Alberta Recreation and Parks Association has declared June Recreation and Parks Month. People are encouraged to enhance their lives by getting active, enjoy being outside and creating healthier communities as a result.

Ideas for active activities

How about going for a family walk on the Heritage Grove Park? Or taking a walk through the local Farmers' Market External? Run through the splash pad in Central Park, or climb around our Rotary Playscape at Fuhr Sports Park.

International Skate Day

Celebrate skateboarding with a game of S.K.A.T.E and a best trick competition. Come to the Spruce Grove Skate Park at 454 King St. on June 21 to show off your skills and compete for a variety of different prizes! The fun begins at 5 p.m.
