Celebrate Halloween at Mini Monster Bash event

Presented by the City of Spruce Grove, the Town of Stony Plain and Parkland County

Residents looking for a family-friendly way to celebrate Halloween are invited to attend this year's Mini Monster Bash celebration.

Happening on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Heritage Park Pavilion in Stony Plain External, this annual event will include a variety of activities geared for children ages three to 10, although everyone is welcome to attend.

Jointly presented by the City of Spruce Grove, the Town of Stony Plain and Parkland County, the event will include circus activities and carnival games, a fish pond, photo booth, crafts, reptile display and a visit from Ronald McDonald. A new addition this year is glow yoga where participants can try some spooky stretches!

The War Amps will also be at the event sharing information about how to stay safe on Halloween and all year long.

Children will receive a special glow-in-the-dark bag they can use when they go trick-or-treating. Quantities are limited, so it will be first come, first served.

There is no cost to attend the Mini Monster Bash, but residents are encouraged to bring a non-perishable donation for the Parkland Food Bank External.

Participants are asked to dress for the weather in case of lineups outside the Pavilion.

Volunteers ages 12 and up are needed to assist with the event. There are two available shifts: 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Interested individuals can call 780-962-7634 ext. 143 or email Email.
