City’s Planning/Development and Engineering departments moving

Both departments closed Oct. 15 – 20 for relocation

The City's Planning and Development and Engineering departments will soon be moving to a new home, just across the street from City Hall.

Effective Wednesday, Oct. 21, both departments will be located at 414 King Street, inside the King Street Mall. Regular office hours will be Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To prepare for the move, the departments will be closed from Oct. 15 - 20. This temporary closure is for all services, including phone and walk-in questions, permit applications (development permits, building permits, business licences, etc.) and the City will not be doing inspections during this time.

The move will enhance customer service hours, as both departments will now be open over the lunch hour, and will allow for better coordination and efficiency between departments, as all staff will be in one location.

Additionally, the move will free up much needed space in City Hall and will provide for more meeting spaces. Furthermore, the staff lunch room that will be used at the King Street location will also be used by the Spruce Grove Public Library in the evenings, providing the library with additional meeting space.

Following the move, both departments can continue to be reached by phone at 780-962-2611. Walk-in customers and courier services can go directly to the new office space at 414 King Street.
