Calling all community groups! You can spruce up the city in exchange for cash

Non-profits boost fundraising efforts this spring, applications due Friday, April 8

It's time to bust out the garbage bags, protective gloves and reflective gear and pound the pavement, cleaning up Spruce Grove for hard cold cash. Spruce Grove's Community Clean Up event will take place from April 23 to May 1 and all local, non-profit groups are invited to apply to participate!

This annual clean up event provides a fundraising opportunity to community groups who want to help spruce up Spruce Grove and earn cash for local programs. Participants are assigned one area of Spruce Grove to clean up and in exchange, they will receive a $1,500 financial contribution from the City.

To qualify, groups must register with the Community Service Partnership Program and submit an application form by Friday, April 8. Each group must show proof of non-profit status, be based within the Spruce Grove region and provide a "Clean Up Crew" of a least 15 people. Groups are required to provide a copy of certificate of insurance ($2 million).

Ten groups will be chosen to participate in this year's clean up. Groups who are selected will be notified by Tuesday, April 12. One member from each selected group must attend a mandatory training session at Spruce Grove's Public Works facility prior to the event.

Don't miss this opportunity to boost your community group's fundraising efforts while making Spruce Grove shine!
