Waste Management

Residential Solid Waste ServicesReducing Your Waste Line

The City of Spruce Grove's waste management program is focused on providing a quality service to our residents, while reducing the amount of waste going to the landfill.

Landfill space in the capital region is limited. It is time to change the way we look at garbage. Item by item, we need to remember: reduce - reuse - recycle.

The average Spruce Grove household produces 910 kg of waste per year. Over half of what is put out at the curb for garbage collection in Spruce Grove could be reused or recycled. The City's Organicart and blue bag programs provide the opportunity to divert most of your household waste. Let's recycle and compost our way to a sustainable Spruce Grove.
