Dog Licensing Information

 

 

The Community and Protective Services section of the Community Services department provides animal control services in the City of Spruce Grove under the Peace Officer program.  As per Bylaw C-544-05, all dog owners residing in the City of Spruce Grove must obtain a dog license in January of each new year.  Failure to purchase a dog license each year will result in prosecution for the violation of the Bylaw offense.

   Fee Schedule

Neutered Male or Spayed Female $15.00 per year
Unneutered Male or Unspayed Female $30.00 per year
Seeing Eye Dogs, Hearing Ear Dogs, Wheelchair Assist Dogs No Charge
Search & Rescue Trained Dogs whose owners are members of Recognized Associations No Charge

  • In person at City Hall
    Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m except statutory holidays
    Credit and Debit card services are available.

Certificate of proof of neutering or spaying is required from a veterinarian.

When paying by mail please include your dog’s name, breed, and gender along with your name, address and telephone number.
