Residential Lot Grading Information The inspection and approval process in new areas is a proactive way of minimizing observed problems that arise from improperly graded residential lots. These problems have resulted in disputes between neighbors and significant time and effort by Administration in resolving grading issues. The Bylaw also addresses new and existing areas for common problems such as roof leader drainage and sump pump discharge. If not designed, constructed and maintained properly these can cause damage and safety concerns with neighboring and public properties.
